Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts Release “As Time Explodes,” a 13-Track Live Album From the 2025 Tour

Recorded across a 31-date run of Europe and North America, the album pulls from Glastonbury, London’s Hyde Park, and the Montreux Jazz Festival, and it debuts a brand-new song, “Big Crime.”

As Time Explodes is a 13-track live album from Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts. It documents the band’s 31-date tour of Europe and North America that followed the June 2025 studio album Talkin’ To The Trees. The recordings are compiled from major festival and headline sets, including Glastonbury Festival, London’s Hyde Park, and the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. Tracks from the album are playing on Live Jam Radio now.

The Setlist

The album covers Young’s whole career and adds new material the band was playing on the road.

  • Career staples: “Harvest Moon,” “Ohio,” “After The Gold Rush,” “Like A Hurricane,” and “Cortez The Killer” anchor the heavier side of the set.
  • Rare live cuts: “Long Walk Home,” “Daddy Went Walking,” “Be The Rain,” and “Name of Love” are songs that have rarely appeared on earlier live compilations.
  • New and recent material: “Silver Eagle” comes from the Talkin’ To The Trees sessions, and the album debuts a brand-new song, “Big Crime.”

The tracklist pairs acoustic-leaning songs like “Harvest Moon” and “After The Gold Rush” with the long electric guitar workouts of “Like A Hurricane” and “Cortez The Killer.” That contrast between the quiet and loud sides of Young’s catalog is the main appeal of a live record from this band.
