Queen is set to unleash a sensational blast from the past with the upcoming release of "Queen Rock Montreal - Live and Dangerous in 1981." This highly anticipated package, arriving on May 10, 2024, promises an electrifying journey back to one of the band's most iconic live performances.

Fresh off the heels of their record-breaking IMAX Event Cinema worldwide release, "Queen Rock Montreal" captures the legendary rock quartet at the pinnacle of their live prowess. Recently digitally restored, this landmark concert film is now making its debut in an array of formats, including double Blu-Ray, double 4K Ultra High Definition, double CD, and triple vinyl packages.

Queen Rock Montreal presents Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon at their most thrilling and exhilarating. As Brian May aptly describes it, this is Queen "live and dangerous." Recorded during the band's monumental return to Montreal, Canada, in November 1981, this release immortalizes two monumental concerts at the illustrious 18,000-seat Forum.

These Montreal performances marked a historic moment for Queen, coming off the heels of their monumental success in the 1970s. The band entered the 1980s riding high on the massive popularity of "The Game" album, which spawned chart-toppers like "Another One Bites The Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." Their return to Montreal was the culmination of nearly two years of relentless touring, including their inaugural tours of South and Central America.

Queen's electrifying presence on stage is palpable throughout the concerts, as captured by director Saul Swimmer's state-of-the-art filming techniques. The band's raw energy and unparalleled musicianship shine through, with Freddie Mercury's soaring vocals, Brian May's dazzling guitar work, John Deacon's rock-solid bass, and Roger Taylor's unstoppable drumming captivating the audience from start to finish.

From the opening cry of "Hello Montreal... long time no see. You wanna get crazy?" to the thrilling climactic one-two punch of "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions," Queen Rock Montreal is a relentless barrage of energy and excitement. It's a testament to the total cohesion and individual brilliance of four musicians who, as Brian May asserts, were "at the top of our game."
