🎶 From The Police to Solo Stardom

Born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner in Wallsend, England, Sting first rose to fame in the late 1970s as the frontman and bassist of The Police, one of the defining rock bands of the New Wave era. With hits like "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take," and "Message in a Bottle," The Police blended punk, reggae, and rock into a sound that was both edgy and massively accessible.
