Kings of Leon is an American rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1999. The band is composed of brothers Caleb Followill (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jared Followill (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Nathan Followill (drums, percussion, backing vocals), along with their cousin Matthew Followill (lead guitar, backing vocals). Known for their blend of Southern rock, garage rock, and alternative rock, Kings of Leon gained widespread recognition with their breakthrough single "Sex on Fire" and the accompanying album "Only by the Night" in 2008. Their music often incorporates elements of blues, country, and folk, and their sound has evolved over the years, incorporating electronic elements in later albums. Kings of Leon have released several successful albums, including "Youth and Young Manhood" (2003), "Aha Shake Heartbreak" (2004), "Because of the Times" (2007), "Mechanical Bull" (2013), and "WALLS" (2016). They have won multiple Grammy Awards and have built a dedicated fan base around the world.
