Kings of Leon is an American rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1999. The band is composed of brothers Caleb Followill (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jared Followill (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Nathan Followill (drums, percussion, backing vocals), along with their cousin Matthew Followill (lead guitar, backing vocals).Known for their blend of Southern rock, garage rock, and alternative rock, Kings of Leon gained widespread recognition with their breakthrough single "Sex on Fire" and the accompanying album "Only by the Night" in 2008.
