Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents has locked in the final details for Sonic Temple 2027, a four-day gathering featuring nearly 150 artists performing across five outdoor stages from May 13 to 16, 2027. The weekend spans rock, metal, punk, and alternative music, with a different headliner anchoring each of the four days.
The Daily Lineup and Headliners
Blink-182 headlines opening night, alongside The Offspring, Turnstile, The All-American Rejects, Knocked Loose, Jimmy Eat World, Mastodon, and Meshuggah.
The bill is a broad mix of pop-punk, hardcore, and heavy metal, with a strong pop-punk core for fans who grew up on the 2000s scene.
Heavy metal icons Iron Maiden headline Friday, marking a high-profile extra leg of their Run For Your Lives 50th Anniversary World Tour. The day also features A Perfect Circle, Alice in Chains, Seether, Skid Row, and Bullet for My Valentine.
Falling in Reverse headlines Saturday, supported by A Day To Remember, a hometown show for Columbus native metalcore favorites Beartooth, The Prodigy, Till Lindemann, and Underoath.
Alternative metal titans Korn headline the final night. Sunday also brings a rare and highly anticipated U.S. appearance by Faith No More, along with $UICIDEBOY$, Primus, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Poppy, and the final Columbus appearance for Ministry on their farewell tour.
Key Reunions and Highlights
- Exclusive Ohio reunions: Indie-prog veterans Circa Survive will play a special, exclusive Ohio reunion set. Other scene reunions across the weekend include Forever the Sickest Kids, Palisades, Cute Is What We Aim For, and The Color Morale.
- Rare appearances: Doom metal band Castle Rat will play one of only two scheduled U.S. performances of 2027 at the festival.
- Expanded footprint: Building on a record-shattering crowd of 184,000 fans in 2026, the 2027 event grows into a full five-stage, multi-genre festival. The grounds will also house the signature Live Art Battles, more than 300 feet of live-painted murals, and the curated artist vendor Art Mart.
The reunion sets are a notable part of the weekend. Several of those bands were fixtures of the mid-2000s scene, so the 2027 bill has a strong nostalgia pull alongside the current headliners.
