Downtown was taken over by football fans following the Georgia Bulldogs’ second National Championship win on Monday, Jan. 9. A funeral procession for “Frequency,” Athens’ newest public artwork, can be spotted at 5:15 in the second video.
That same night, Way Past Cool played at Southern Brewing Co. on Friday, Jan. 13 as part of Aubrey Entertainment’s RPM Series, weekly rock, punk and metal nights held through the end of February.
That same night, Pilgrim and Bat Factory performed at Ciné.
Over at Flicker, Shadebeast presented a show with Withered (Atlanta) and Sundering Seas.
Returning to Flicker on Saturday, Jan. 14, Aunt Moth, NULL and Nuclear Tourism played.
Grammy Award-winning blues legend Bobby Rush visited Hendershot’s on Sunday, Jan. 15.
