Joe Russo’s Almost Dead have added two new shows to their August through October performance lineup. Today, the group tacked on a gig at The Music Box at Borgata Resort Spa in Atlantic City, N.J., on August 11 and another show at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE on Sept. 8.
The Atlantic City performance will be entirely acoustic, adding a twist to the ensemble’s typical electric delivery of beloved originals penned by the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia. During their Pittsburgh stand, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead also noted via social media posts that Jon Shaw will sub in for bassist Dave Dreiwitz, who will not join the band in the Steel City.
Today’s announcement follows the tour lineup shared by the group back in March. The initial list presented dates that will take this group of jammers up and down the East Coast over the course of August, in addition to a pair of West Coast shows slated for The Sunshine State.
Tickets for the band’s performance on August 11 at The Music Box go on sale Wednesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. E.T. Access for their Sept. 8 performance also drop on May 17 at noon E.T. For more information, visit joerussosalmostadead.com.
