HEARTBREAKING tributes have been paid to a “loving” young man who was found dead in his Edinburgh flat.
Allan Johnstone passed away on April 12, aged just 26.
Distraught friends and family have described Allan as having a “smile that would light up the darkest room”.
Many have taken to social media to pay tribute to Allan.
His devastated auntie wrote on Facebook: “I am absolutely heartbroken. Words can’t describe how much I love you and how much I’m going to miss you.
“You weren’t just my nephew, you where like my little brother.

“Auntie Dani’s little Dennis the Menace. Love you so so much. Until we meet again my wee sweetheart.
“You’re at peace now baby boy and with your dad. Fly high my angel, my brightest star in the sky.”
Another person said: “Allan was a lovely young man and always eager to help out if needed. My heart goes out to his family at this time.”
A third wrote: “Brightest star in the sky, sleep tight Allan our beautiful boy. Sending all my love to my family.”
And a fourth said: “So sad, so young, my heart goes out to your whole family.”
A fundraiser has been set up by Allan’s auntie and her husband following his tragic death.
The money will go towards funeral costs to help out his family.
A statement on the page read: “It is with a heavy heart I am setting up this page, I took it upon myself to try raise money for my beautiful sister-in-law who has sadly lost her son so sudden and unexpected.
“Karen only received the news on Friday, April 21 and this has hit her hard, but it has now left her in distress about how she is going to raise the funds to give her son the send off he deserves.
“Allan, a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and a dear friend to many was so early in his life, only 26 years old, and has left everyone far too early.
“With his witty sense of humour and a smile that would light up the darkest room, he will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of having him be part of their life’s.
“Allan’s sudden death has left Karen with the burden of rising funeral expenses, which is taking away her right to mourn her son and turning it into stress and worry!
“I am hoping to to take away this burden and raise enough money to take away this financial worry from an already heartbreaking time for the family

“Any donations would be greatly appreciated and we would be forever grateful in helping give this amazing lad the best send off possible.”
